Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Am I allowed to be in more than one thread at one time?
A: The answer to this is YES. You are permitted to have your character in more than one thread at one time. There is no limit to the number of threads you can be in. Just make sure that you are able to keep track of all of them. A suggestion would be Bookmarking them, which is described in another thread.
Q: Is there a specific time line on the board?
A: The answer is NO, there is not a specific timeline on the board. Of course, it is generally around the time that the series took place, but it can be anytime between then, before or even after.
Q: How often do I have to post?
A: Post as often as you like. To keep threads going, we ask that you post a few times a week, but we understand if this is difficult. If you are going away on vacation somewhere, or will not have access to the computer for a certain amount of time, please let the members you are in threads with know so that your threads do not get archived.
Q: Is there a limit to the amount of made up characters I can play?
A: The answer to this is NO; there is no limit to the amount of made up characters you can play. However, I would recommend not having more two or three because it can be hard to keep track of. Again, there is no rule indicating a limit, but it can be very time consuming and a difficult commitment to maintain if you have too many characters. You are also permitted to temp characters, which means only playing certain ones for a brief amount of time. You are however, not allowed to temp other people’s characters if they are unable to post, unless you have their permission.
Q: Do I need staff approval for my bio before I start posting?
A: The answer to this is both YES and NO. For characters from the show (canon characters) you do need staff approval from one of the admins before you can start posting as that character. If you are asked to make a few modifications to your bio, do not feel discouraged. You may still be able to play that character, but you must make the changes you are asked to. You will most likely recieve a PM from a staff member, outlining the changes that you must make. Please do not post before you hear from an admin. If your bio is approved, you will know it is approved. For made up characters however, you do not need staff approval, unless you are requesting to be a ruler of a kingdom that was not in the series. Of course, a staff member may make a few suggestions, such as adding more detail or something along those lines, but you are permitted to start posting as your made up character once your bio is posted.
Q: How do I get started role playing once my bio is posted?
A: Once your thread is posted and approved (only for canon characters), then you are free to start posting. Feel free to post in any of the role play sections. There are a few role play categories (The Kingdoms and Other Places Within The 9 Kingdoms). Do NOT role play anywhere outside of the boards under these three categories and DO NOT post anything in there other than role play threads. You do not need admin approval to start a thread, but if you want a specific person in there, then you MUST tag the person before you post the thread. If you want it to be open to anyone, then in your post, include [open to anyone] so that other members know it is not restricted to a single person or a specific group of people.
Q: Am I allowed to be canon characters that are not listed in the List of Take and Available Characters?
A: The answer to this question is YES. You are permitted to be characters from the movie that are not listed there, but you must post a bio for them. You are allowed to make up details about them. There are SEVERAL characters and its impossible to incorporate them all into one big list, so if there is one from any particular scene that you would like to be then you are more than welcome to.
