Is this your first time in a Role Play? Don’t worry! Everyone has to start somewhere. Just read the following and hopefully it will give you a better idea as to what exactly role playing is and how to go about participating.
Thread:
Each thread is like a story, an episode if you will. There is no definite time line for threads, so they can take place first season, second or third. They can even take place before the first season, or after the third season. That is one of the wonderful things about role playing; there is endless creativity. Please read the rules that detail how to tag people, and title them
Posts:
Role Playing is all about writing. Posting for your character is conveying their emotions, thoughts, feelings, actions and everything else associated with that person. Since its up to our imagination, be as descriptive as you can. You can talk about everything from what they are wearing, to what they are thinking at that exact second. One of the benefits of writing is that we know describe what’s going on in our characters mind. Be descriptive! There is no limit to how descriptive you can be. The more you write the better. You can also have a little more fun by adding color to your posts. Feel free to change it around, just make sure it is still legible.
User name:
Now although it is not a rule, most people do this. They change their screen name to that of their characters. Sometimes, your user name may not be capitalized after you register, or it is all jumbled into one word. This is easily fixed. Go to your profile, then 'Modify Profile' and where it says 'Display Name', type what you would like it to be. It is generally easier to make it your characters name so that others will know right away, however as previously stated: it is not a rule so is not compulsory.
Bookmarks:
Bookmarking is a way to keep track of all the threads you are in. This is done by going into the thread and pressing the button 'Bookmark' in the top left-hand corner of the thread. Then, go into your profile and you will see a button called "Bookmarks". Click that, and a list of threads you bookmarked will appear. There is no limit to the amount of threads you can bookmark.
Status- Reward/Curse:
Status is how many points you are given. If you press "Reward" then the member's Status will increase by one, but if you press "Curse" then the member's Status will decrease by one. People usually "Reward" others when they feel they are doing a good job posting, or like their character, or something along those lines. Please do not needlessly "Curse" people. Sometimes the member feels discouraged by this, so if they are doing something that you do not like, or if they are not posting properly, please send them a PM instead of decreasing their Status right away or notify an admin.
Gold Coins:
There is a section underneath your Status that says "Gold Coins". Each time you posted, your number of gold coins will increase by 2. Do NOT spam just to increase the amount of gold coins you have. Your posts will be deleted and the coins will be deducted from your amount. I decided that we could have some fun with these coins. So, if anyone would like to have a market selling items or food, they are more than welcome. We can have auctions, and characters can go gambling, etc. Amounts can be added and deducted from your existing amount (added in ways other than posting), but only an admin can change the amount of money you have in that way. So, if you buy something and some coins need to be deducted or you played the Jack Rabbit Jackpot and won 10 000 coins, then contact an admin to let them know to change your amount.
